Hartland Riding Club

Hartland, Vermont

Our Mission Statement

The Hartland Riding Club is a diverse group of horses and horse lovers residing in Hartland, VT, and other Upper Valley towns. We include horses of all breeds, shapes, and sizes, people of all seat preferences and ages, drivers, ex-riders, and friends of riders, too. Whether you are owned by a horse or not, all horse enthusiasts are welcome.

The HRC was organized in 1969 as a social group of equestrians. The first meeting, and many, many more, took place at “Trail’s End Farm” in the home of charter member and trail master Connie Tessier.

Currently, we convene on the fourth Monday of each month at the Hartland Public Library. Our business meeting begins at 7 p.m., often followed by a speaker and/or a horsey learning experience. Sometimes we have snacks, and there is always a lot of freestyle chatter along the way.

We are an open and friendly group of folks willing to try new ideas and make new friends. We believe in good horsemanship, cooperation, laughter, teamwork and the love of a horse. And we really love to eat!

Monthly meetings are held at 7:00 pm on the fourth Monday of the month at the Hartland Public Library in Hartland 3 Corners. Annual membership is $5.00. Come join us!
